The Department of Leadership, Center for Urban School Leadership, at the University of Memphis in conjunction with the Tennessee Department of Education and the Southern Regional Educational Board, is hosting a state-wide meeting on October 19, 2007 at Tennessee State University on the Avon Williams Campus. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss proposed recommendations for the change of school leadership preparation program requirements in the state of Tennessee.

We are pleased to invite members of the Tennessee Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (TACTE) to this meeting. It would be helpful and greatly appreciated if you would forward this invitation to colleges of education across the state who are members of the TACTE organization. We would like for all professors of Educational Leadership to engage in this wonderful opportunity as we work together to redesign leadership preparation programs across the state.
