Education Generalist Position in Teacher Education and
Graduate Studies in Education
Carson-Newman College invites applications for a tenure track full-time position
at the assistant or associate professor rank in education in the Teacher
Education and Graduate Studies in Education Departments. Minimum qualifications
include a commitment to the Christian mission of the college, Pre-K-12 teaching
experience; and a doctorate in education, with preference given to those who
have the experience and course work to teach elementary and secondary methods
courses, particularly in the area of mathematics.
Viable candidates for the position will demonstrate the ability to work
collaboratively to help prepare both undergraduate and graduate students in K-12
licensure areas. Candidates normally will be expected to teach a 12-hour load as
well as to advise undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate
should also demonstrate a record of or willingness to engage in scholarly

Education and Graduate Studies in Education Departments. Minimum qualifications

experience; a doctorate in reading education, and the eligibility for licensure
as a reading specialist in Tennessee.
